Whats the bag baby?

It's my bag baby. Here are the contents that get me through work and school days. Am I pack rat... maybe a little. Am I always prepared? Hell yeah!

My beautiful falling apart pink backpack.

Most of my stuff is in the large front pocket.

Here are my boxes. One contains tampons, one has pens and pencils and the other has miscellaneous band-aids, paper clips, emergency money, tape measure, emery board, nail clippers, mirror, comb and hair ties. The clear vinyl bag has sunblock, hand sanitizer, dental floss, deodorant, gum, a tooth brush and toothpaste.

Sketch journal

Wallet, pills, cotton balls, cell phone, first aid kit, Weight Watchers point calculator and notebook.

My beautiful bird day planner.

A spiral bound notebook, my laptop and my reusable Starbucks cup live in the main pocket and cup pouch respectively.

And there you go, that is my portable world.

Ta Da!

So here is my "Fashion Show"

Here are some of the hair clips I made. The pictures aren't great; my camera is no longer focusing well.

Fake Flowers and Real Charm

So here is the culmination of a project I have been excited about for awhile.
Silk flower hair pieces. Originally I was going to use feathers too, and I may in the future, but this batch is cruelty free.

Here I am all set up and ready to glue. Things I learned: Hot glue is the only way to go, stiffened felt is a wonderful backer, and patience is essential.

You can see here how I attached the clips to the flowers. I was a little unsure about these clips, I bought them at JoAnne Fabrics, but they really stay in my hair (which is fine, but I have a lot of it) and they come in a couple useful sizes.

This rose came all the way from Japanland! And it looks lovely in my hair.

Fashion show to follow!

Babbling Brook Blog Give Away

Babbling Book is giving away some uber great prizes!

First Feather Project

So here is my first feather project. I took a headband I got from Claire's for about a dollar and glued the peacock feathers to it. The feathers were already glued to a felt pad, and arranged as you can see in the post below. This is nice as it means I don't have to glue the feathers individually.

However, as I was gluing the pad onto the headband, I got some glue on the feathers! That's me being impatient again. So I had to get two more peacock feathers and insert them to cover up the feathers that got discolored by the dried glue.

Here I am modeling my crafty head gear.

*Cheers*

The feathers have arrived.

So my feathers finally arrived from the far east. I only know what I am going to do with the peacock feathers. The others...I dunno.

The "pheasant" feathers are actually rooster feathers, but since I like rooster feathers I'm ok with that. I am guessing it is either a communication failure or the people selling the feathers assume people can't tell a pheasant from a rooster.

They have also been dyed green. Man I wish I knew what to do with them. I have about 50.

Anyway, if you have any ideas send them on over.

*Cheers*

250+ Followers GIVEAWAY!
I am SO EXCITED to announce my first giveaway ever :D I was actually supposed to do one when I reached 100 followers but it went by so fast I had no time to prepare/look for/buy the things I had planned. I'm so thankful to each and every one of you for the support and the comments I've received even though I don't really update my blog that frequently. So I'm giving out $200 CAD worth of products. I will probably be adding more to the prizes later on and will update this post and pictures :)

NOW ...

There will be three winners. Before, I wanted one person to win the whole thing but now I divided it up so more can have the chance of winning :)

Here is my (maybe long awaited) surprise post: I'm having a giveaway again! The reasons: I've got more than 100 followers now, and it's summer! And since I'm leaving for Japan in November I decided to clean out my entire room and found some nice items I'd like to give away! Yes, all items of this giveaway are from my room and more or less from Japan XD Most of the items are absolutely new and unused (I still ask myself why I never used them :-) Have a look, and if you like, you can enter, of course! :-) I wish you all good luck!

Here are the rules:
1. You must be a follower (new followers are welcome, too).
2. For one entry leave a comment saying: Enter Me! Give me your name and email address, too!
3. For 2 additional entries link my giveaway on your blog or on any other net platform (Facebook, Twitter etc.) and post that link.
4. Put all of your information in ONE comment! (that makes counting a little bit easier for me!)
5. The giveaway will close on August, 1. The winners will be drawn randomly.
6. There will be secret prizes, too!

Now I want to say thank you to all of my readers and followers at this place! My blog wouldn't be anything without you, thank you for your support so far. I will give my best to make everything more interesting! And think about the giveways I can hold when I'm in Japan! (Well, it is still a bit until then, though! Maybe for Christmas??) Okay, now your surely wanna know what you can win, right? Have a go! (I'm sorry for the bad quality of the fotos! Hope you can see everything.)
